Domaine de Verex
the vineyards

Our property, very close to Lake Geneva, borders the cantonal road between the village of Allaman and the little town of Rolle. This wine region is called « Cœur de la Côte ».

Since the Middle Ages wine has been grown here and since we are the owners, the wines have been exclusively produced and bottled on the property itself.

Our homestead dates to the 18th Century, surrounded by its vineyard, well exposed to the sun.

The Domaine de Verex belongs to our family since 1887. In1940 my father Jean-Louis Perrot modernised the exploitation of the wine production and I have continued to do so when I took over the property in 1969. The vineyards comprise 75'000 m2, on which about 46.000 wine ranks grow, producing more or less 60'000 litres of wine per year. The remaining part of the property consists of apple and peach orchards.

Label Vinatura

Quality wines with the Vinatura Label stand for production according to the latest developments in wine growing technology and respecting the present eco-system.

Our vineyards are organised in rows at least 200 cm wide and with 80 cm between plants. To reduce erosion we use grass rows and also cover the soil at times with straw or reeds. This keeps the ground moist and avoids earth slides in case of heavy rain. We do not use any insecticides and try to avoid plant disease and damage by insects by maintaining a biological sound balance and an integrated production.
